THERAPY PROCESS QUESTIONS

  • Yes, there are several advantages to engaging in therapy, such as accessing a supportive, non-judgmental environment to genuinely express your thoughts and emotions. It's also a place to learn new skills and techniques to add to your adulting toolbox. We will identify your goals in the first few sessions and talk about ways you can reach your goals via therapy.

    Remember, your commitment plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of therapy, which involves implementing what you learn in and beyond the sessions.

  • You might be asking about how long therapy will take because you are currently struggling and want relief. I get it however there is no guarantee or specific number of sessions.  I can share a generalization from clients that were committed to the therapy process.

    For new clients, positive progress is typically seen after 3-5 sessions, leading to a sense of hopefulness about the journey ahead.

    The total duration of therapy varies from client to client. Some clients find that 8-25 sessions suffice for the growth they seek, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. It's important to consider that progress is heavily influenced by the client's efforts outside of the therapy sessions.

    This does not apply for the following :

  • I value transparency and authenticity. Show up as you are. There is no need to mask anything. This may not come naturally to you at first, but we will get there together. The clients who have most benefited from my services appreciate having a safe space to be vulnerable; they are committed to the work and view therapy as a necessary investment to create the life they desire. 

  • I completely understand the apprehension, especially when working with someone new and considering sharing personal information, including things you've never disclosed before. Rest assured, unless there is a threat to your safety or someone else's, what you share remains confidential, and your session time is safeguarded as well.

    If you have any questions regarding how confidentiality is maintained, feel free to inquire during a complimentary phone consultation or at any point during working together.

  • I provide all online services only due to the convenience and flexibility by eliminating travel and time constraints for busy clients.

    Online therapy resembles an in-person office meeting, but we will connect through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform accessible on various devices without extra costs or software.

     A link to the therapist's online room is shared before the session, with reminders sent 48 and 24 hours prior. Sessions are accessed by clicking the link at the scheduled time, similar to Zoom or Google Hangouts.

  • I can only provide therapy to clients in states I am licensed. I am currently licensed in Georgia, New Jersey, and Washington.

    However, my practice is 100% online. I meet with all of my clients virtually. I do not have plans to move my practice in-person any time soon.

  • Sessions are typically weekly or biweekly, lasting 50 minutes, except for the first session which is 75 minutes.

  • Below is a brief outline of what to expect in your first session and how to prepare. Click HERE for a detailed outline.

    Keep in mind some things may vary

    • Receive a welcome email with intake paperwork instructions. It is all done electronically so no printing or emailing attachments back and forth.

    • Complete paperwork at least 24 hours before your first appointment, receive your link to the session.

    • First session will be 75 minutes to cover paperwork & get to know each other.

    • Getting to know you includes but not limited to: Reason for therapy; Therapy goals; Family and childhood history; Support system.

    • Make sure your internet connection is stable.

    • Be in a private comfortable space.

    • Headphones are recommended if family, roommates, or co-workers are nearby.

    • Payment is automatically collected after the session with required card on file.

    Once we decide to work together then you will receive access to the client portal, allowing you to schedule appointments.

INVESTMENT & specialties QUESTIONS

  • You can choose between individual sessions (with costs listed below) or therapy intensive sessions. Both options provide package deals that include discounts. Visit the Investment section for complete information. CLICK HERE

    • Intake Session (1st Session): $200 (70 minutes)

    • Individual Therapy: $175 (50 minutes)

  • No, I do not accept insurance. You can self-pay only or self-pay and submit for reimbursement (LEARN MORE)

    I can process HSA and FSA credit cards and provide an itemized receipt.

    I am glad to provide a Good Faith Estimate (an estimated cost of treatment) as well.

  • I don’t take insurance, BUT your out-of-network benefits might cover therapy!   I work with Mentaya - a company that can get you reimbursed 50-80% for therapy using your out of network benefits.

  • Payment is due at the time of service. A card is required to be on file during the course of our work together.

  • To cancel a scheduled therapy session, a minimum of 24 hours in advance of your session is required. If prior and timely notification is not given, you will be charged the full session fee for the missed session.

  • Therapy intensives and traditional therapy sessions both help you heal and grow, but they work in different ways:

    Therapy Packages

    BEST FOR: Ongoing healing and steady growth over time.

    SESSION FORMAT: Weekly or biweekly 50-minute sessions.

    PROGRESS PACE: Gradual progress over time.

    CUSTOMIZATION: Guided but flexible, adapting as you progress.

    WHEN TO CHOOSE IT? If you want weekly or bi-weekly support and want to experience progress at a slower pace.

    Therapy Intensives Packages

    BEST FOR: Deep healing, rapid breakthroughs, and major shifts in a in a short timeframe.

    SESSION FORMAT: Choose 3 or 6-hour therapy sessions with pre- and post-session support. Tailor them for a one-time experience or as a regular monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly therapy approach.

    PROGRESS PACE: Accelerated, focused transformation…think traditional therapy on steroids.

    CUSTOMIZATION: Highly structured and impactful, yet tailored to your specific needs.
